GRAPHIE
Editorial & Cultural Platform

Identity & Direction

Founded in 1998 in Cesena (Italy) and published by Il Vicolo Editore, Graphie is an independent editorial and cultural platform operating at the intersection of art, literature, and critical thought.

Conceived and directed by architect and artist Marisa Zattini, Graphie has developed over more than two decades into a sustained and rigorous space for interdisciplinary dialogue, bringing together established voices and emerging authors across multiple fields of knowledge.

Contributors & Network

Over time, Graphie has built a network of contributors that includes leading figures in Italian cultural discourse alongside younger and emerging voices, fostering an intergenerational exchange that remains central to its editorial vision.

Fields & Structure

Rather than addressing a single discipline, Graphie explores the cultural landscape through a transversal approach, spanning literature, contemporary art, architecture, cinema, philosophy, poetry, theatre, psychoanalysis, and music.

Its internal structure reflects this multiplicity through thematic sections—Monographie, Calligraphie, Archigraphie, Cinematographie, Mitographie, Photographie, Typographie, Radiographie—each articulating a specific mode of inquiry.

Public Programme

Beyond publishing, Graphie extends its activity through a program of public initiatives, including Literary and Artistic Salons—open, thematic encounters with writers, artists, critics, and musicians—as well as national awards, exhibitions, and large-scale cultural events developed in collaboration with public institutions.

Editorial Ecosystem

Alongside the journal, the publishing house Il Vicolo has developed complementary editorial series, further expanding its engagement with contemporary culture, literature, and critical research.

Today

Today, Graphie operates not only as a magazine, but as a platform for cultural production and exchange—capable of generating editorial content, public programs, and collaborative projects across local and international contexts.
